High-Speed Knife Cutting & Flash Cutting

Flash-cutting is a versatile method we use to shape a wide variety of materials into precision parts for your applications. Unlike other CNC machines which may struggle with dense or layered material, our flash-cutting machine allows us to work on layered materials, allowing for faster turnaround times. From precision edge shapes to holes, we can use up to 1 knife and 2 high-speed spinning punches at a time.

Our high-speed cutting equipment comes with a large 5’ x 10’ vacuum table, allowing it to have long run times and accommodate large part sizes. Our stock of machine knives allows us to work on different densities of materials, allowing us to cut and shape almost any material we carry, including plastic parts up to ½” thick with our milling-capable equipment.

We can process nearly any material we carry using high-speed cutting equipment, but it’s best reserved for soft, flexible, or semi-rigid materials that don’t process well using waterjet cutting or laser cutting. It’s also best used for layered materials which often have different properties.
